Ryan Douglas is a Registered Psychotherapist, with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). Ryan has recently completed a Master of Counselling, Psychotherapy, and Spirituality from Saint Paul University in Ottawa, Ontario.
Ryan, as a therapist, has a warm demeanour, empathetic, and knowledgeable. Ryan works collaboratively with his clients, to understand their concerns, and throughout the therapeutic alliance, provides a safe space for each individual or couple to bring their authentic selves to the session. Ryan also welcomes his client’s feedback along the way to help guide the therapeutic process. Ryan uses an integrative approach, using practical tools established in evidence-based modalities to further assist clients in reaching their reported goals. Ryan helps clients access and explore their inner strengths, to help them achieve an improved mental capacity, to live their best life.
Ryan provides psychotherapy services to adults and couples. Ryan is trained in a variety of modalities, such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person Centred Therapy, Relational Therapy, Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy as well as Systemic Therapy. In therapy sessions, Ryan leans towards an integrative approach that addresses the client presenting problem.
Ryan has over 20 years of experience in coaching and developing individuals within a corporate setting. Ryan has sat on Diversity and Inclusion committees, involved in a variety of initiatives, supporting the BIPOC and LGBTQ2S+ population.
Ryan is particularly drawn to working with those who have anxiety disorders, ADHD, developmental trauma and relationship problems. His objective as a therapist is to offer meaningful assistance to foster lasting improvements in emotional and mental well-being. He utilizes a collaborative approach tailored to each client’s particular needs.
